Last year I wrote a long critique of RAN titled "Saving Trees and Capitalism Too." The introduction notes: "By reviewing the activities of leading tree protectors, the Rainforest Action Network, this essay will demonstrate how the activism promoted by eco barons though such groups ultimately works to conserve capitalism and create the powerful illusion of progressive social change." http://www.stateofnature.org/savingTrees.html
