Re: What's the carbon footprint of a text message, having a child, the world cup...?in the article it says
CO2e, when I assume it means
carbon dioxide. What is the final E ? | |
Re: What's the carbon footprint of a text message, having a child, the world cup...?The final "e" stands for equivalent. There are many other greenhouse gasses alongside CO2, Methane and nitrous Oxide for example.... they are often more damaging as Grenhouse gasses......Methane is 25 times "worse" (i think) If an item emits these, then the gas in question is converted to a "CO2 equivalent".... so 1kg of methane would have a CO2e of 25kg. Hope that helps! |
