'Do more with your rubbish' is the message from the University of Aberdeen, as its students highlight the importance of recycling

University of Aberdeen Entry

Most of your trash ends up in landfills. The United Kingdom buries ninety percent of its solid waste. Landfills provide an important service, however toxic emissions into the air and water are threatening our environment. Many materials in a landfill will take hundreds of years to decompose. By recycling you are preparing for a more efficient and environmentally friendly disposal of your rubbish. How many of us are recycling? Are you? We urge you to consider your impact. The Aberdeen University Students Association urges you to do more with your rubbish – RECYCLE!
