Being a student of a University which is already very environmentally aware is fantastic, however as with all things there is still always room for improvement and more issues to tackle. Traffic congestion is one of the worst day to day problems in Preston and the vast amount of students and staff who drive in and out of the city everyday are contributing to this problem. If everyone drove 5 miles less a week then we would dramatically reduce our carbon levels or even better this video tries to show that alternative ways of travel are available and more people should cycle or walk to work.
