In order for society to want to conserve the natural environment, society must first be shown the value in preserving it. Carbon sequestration and medicinal plants are two well known examples of reasons to conserve nature. Our video aims to inform the next generation of decision makers of TRANQILLITY, 'the quality of calm experienced in natural places, free from disturbance from man-made areas'. The mental and physical health benefits of spending time in tranquil places have been proven in medical and psychological research and so provide another brilliant reason for conserving our natural environment.
