One of London's largest outlets of second-hand or reconditioned bikes with community-centered busniess eithics.
In the 12 years Recycling has been open, they have sold or donated 25,000 repaired and reconditioned bikes, always with a safety-first approach to cycling.
Bikes are sourced from just about anyway, but many come from local authority waste sites, police and general actions and ones that have been siezed from car parks.
Accountability is a key element of their business practice, and every single bike that comes into the shop through from the person or organisation bringing it in to the final customer is traced. A record of this journey is made, along with all the work that happens in-between.
If they find bikes that have been loat or atolen. they aim to reunite them with the original owner.
They have a very ethical and simple 'No Lemons' returns policy: if, when you have bought a bike, you don't like it, you can change it as many times as you want within the first 21 days after the original purchase. If, after this time you are still not happy, you can have your money back.
When you buy a bike from Recycling, with the exception of punctures and wheel truing, for one month afterwards you will receive free priority servicing.
