The British Wildlife Photography Awards are a unique celebration of British wildlife as captured on camera by today’s best amateur and professional photographers. The images will be on display in a free exhibition at Alexandra Palace from 14th to 28th October, before embarking on a year-long nationwide tour.
To view some of the stunning images visit our photo gallery!
All of the images from the Awards are included in a beautiful hardback coffee table book, published by AA Publishing. Devised by British wildlife photographer Chris Weston and curator of photography Maggie Gowan, this unique book highlights the great wealth of our island's natural history.
The awards were first held in 2009 to widespread acclaim, with support from esteemed organisations including Natural England, WWF and Outdoor Photography magazine. For the 2011 competition, the very best images have been brought together in this fabulous book.
Britain has some of the most beautiful and unique wildlife in the world, and the sensational photographs from this prestigious competition capture and celebrate its wonderful variety. We’d be happy to give away one copy of the book as a prize!
