‘Comedy in the Dark’

The Leicester Comedy Festival show is back in Edinburgh, with leading stand-ups and greener initiatives

The Leicester Comedy Festival once again returns to Edinburgh to produce it 'Comedy in The Dark' show after having sell-out shows in Leicester, London and Denmark. The show is an innovative showcasing of stand up comedians which gives a whole new meaning to ‘black comedy’, with the comedians literally performing in the pitch black. 

The line-up is as follows:

7th Mark Olver, Shazia Mirza, Tom Allen
8th Mark Olver, Joe Bor, Jessica Fostekew

10th Mark Olver, David Morgan, Elis James
11th Mark Olver, Andrew Bird, Chris Martin

The Leicester Comedy Festival has implemented a number of green initiatives through established partnerships with Leicester’s Environment Partnership Board, One Leicester and The National Forest.  These unique partnerships were created to encourage greater environment and to lower the carbon footprint of the annual festival in Leicester itself.The show's 2011 stint at the Fringe promises to be a truly unique comedy experience for audience members and performers alike. 

When: August 3-29th, midnight

Where: Gilded Balloon Tiviot, Edinburgh

Cost: £4 adults; £2 under-16. Children under 12 are free.
