The EcoVillage summer exhibitions

South of England Show
This year at the South of England Show, the EcoVillage will demonstrate how going green can save you money with a number of exhibitors demonstrating alternative renewable energy options for home and commercial use. Although alternative energy is the focus this year, the EcoVillage has numerous other exhibitors, covering everything from sustainable timber flooring to oak frame buildings, eco clothing, edible snails, Fairtrade gifts and even green burials.

When: June 9 - 11

Gardeners World Live
The EcoVillage will be exhibiting for the second year at BBC Gardeners' World Live with an area dedicated to sustainable living. Talk to renewable energy experts Paynes Energy, change to green energy with EcoSwitch, and talk greener gardening with Earth Essentials and Garden Organic.

When: June 15 - 19

Where: NEC Birmingham

Cost: £19 adults; children free on the weekend

Kent County Show
This is the EcoVillage’s fourth year at the Kent Show and they have a friendly, spacious area with something for everyone. From herbs to organic juices, electric bikes to the Vauxhall Ampera, as well as renewable energy, tree free tissue, edible snails; there's plenty to see. And if you a need a rest they have a quiet wooded picnic area with delicious organic burritos and organic coffee.

When: July 15 - 17

Where: Detling Showground, Maidstone, Kent

Cost: £19.50 adults;  £6 children over five
