Eco refurb talk at the Ideal Home Show

Ecologist writer, Sue Wheat, discusses ways to make your home greener at the Ideal Home Show

The idea of reducing our carbon footprint at home is an attractive one but for many it can seem impractical. Over the course of her own ‘ecorefurb’ project on her Victorian house in Walthamstow, Sue Wheat has gleaned plenty of practical knowledge in this field and she’s prepared to share it, during a talk at the Ideal Home Show.

Sue’s talk is based on seven articles she wrote for The Ecologist on the subject of her eco refurbishment project and will focus on the steep learning curve that Sue and her team took during the course of her work on eco refurbishment. The talk will also cover, on a more practical level, ideas for applying her lessons to our own homes. She will share practical tips on how to reduce your home’s carbon footprint without busting your budget and has plenty of ideas for things you can do right now. Whether it’s switching to a wood burning stove or getting your home properly insulated, Sue’s talk will show you how to make your living space green.
