Woodland Management Roadshow, 11 Sept, Cwmbran
Learn how to protect, manage and improve woodlands for the benefit of your local community
The fourth in a series of summer roadshows organised by Llais y Goedwig, the Wales-wide community woodland network, will be held in Blaen Brân Community Woodland, Cwmbran, near Newport, southeast Wales.
The roadshow is designed to help people improve their woodland management skills and network with others through workshops and presentations.
A tree will be planted to symbolise the support of local partnership Coed Lleol, set up to encourage people to get more involved in woodlands. Attendees will also receive a Climate Change Reader, which is to be launched at the roadshow: a wooden memory stick containing more than 40 articles on the impact climate change is having on woodlands, and suggestions for future-proofing woodlands and communities.
