Small is... Festival, 4-5 Sept, Warwickshire
A space to share skills, learn about technologies, create networks, develop ideas and be inspired about international development and the planet
The Small is… Festival is a celebration and evolution of the ideas expressed in Small is Beautiful, by the economist EF Schumacher, held in the beautiful Warwickshire grounds of the international development charity Practical Action.
Following the success of the first Small is… last year, Practical Action returns with a bigger and better festival, offering more opportunities to get involved, get debating, get sharing and have a great time.
There will be hands-on workshops on international development technologies and practices, technology displays, stalls and information-sharing spaces, kids' activities and great world music – something for everyone.
There will also be plenty of entertainment including a perpetual jam tent with teas, coffees, cakes, brownies and drums, a ceilidh, an open mic session, solar cinema and World music.
Day and weekend tickets are available, ranging from £5 for a concessions day entry to £50 for a family weekend ticket with camping. Children under 12 go free.
The festival will be held at the Schumacher Centre for Technology and Development, in Bourton on Dunsmore, six miles from Rugby in Warwickshire.
