Free training for the next generation of keen green students

The NUS and Global Action Plan have teamed up to inspire and empower students to set up new ‘EcoTeams’ - groups of friends who meet fortnightly to reduce their environmental impact.

EcoTeam leaders are given resources and support so that they can set up and lead teams taking positive action on rubbish and shopping, household energy, water and travel.

A number of free training days are being held between September and November 2010 to help students develop sustainability and leadership skills, as well as connect with likeminded people from regional universities.

Help us keep the Ecologist platform going

Since 2012, the Ecologist has been owned and published by a small UK-based charity called the Resurgence Trust. We work hard to support the kind of independent journalism and comment that we know Ecologist readers enjoy but we need your help to keep going. We do all this on a very small budget with a very small editorial team and so joining the Trust or making a donation will show us you value our work and support the platform which is currently offered as a free service.
