In the world that we live it is important to remember that Newton 3rd law applies. What is that law I hear your cry, well maybe not you're probably quite worldly and know such things, but just in case (as a reminder) Newton's 3rd law is thusly; to every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction.

'Ah that's very well and good, but what does that apple casualty's 3rd law of motion have to do with this film and the environment'? Well I'm glad you asked. Our premise is simple. Everyone should understand that every action has a consequence. Sometimes that consequence is massive, for example sailing a boat into an iceberg (in spite of how unsinkable you think that vessel might be) is a bad idea and will cause catastrophic and immediately evident damage. But what about driving your car, when walking would suffice? Or Drinking bottled water when there's a mains fed drinking fountain nearby? Or dropping litter & failing to recycle? These seem like insignificant things without consequence. But we know, thanks to brain boffins like Newton, that even little things have consequences and much like drops of water into a bucket, eventually those tiny drops will make a whole heck of a lot of liquid. Or to put it another way, 7 billion of us can do a load of damage to the world we live in through ignorance or inaction.

That's where 'Greenman & Enviroboy' come in. They understand Newton's 3rd Law all too well and they're here to spread the good word and fight the good fight. There're not here to do everything for us, but to remind us through their caped crusades and (some say over zealous) super-heroics, of our actions and the end result of those actions. As a beacon of all that is Envirotastic (and yes perhaps a touch of humour) they can remind as all that little thing, little changes in our day-to-day behaviour - CAN, & WILL, SAVE THE WORLD!

'Greenman & Enviroboy' away......

Help us keep the Ecologist platform going

Since 2012, the Ecologist has been owned and published by a small UK-based charity called the Resurgence Trust. We work hard to support the kind of independent journalism and comment that we know Ecologist readers enjoy but we need your help to keep going. We do all this on a very small budget with a very small editorial team and so joining the Trust or making a donation will show us you value our work and support the platform which is currently offered as a free service.
