Course: Grow Your Own Eco Club

Philip Hunton

Would you like to run your own rewarding Eco Club to empower the next generation?

Having worked in the environmental education sector for seven years, I'm keen to pass on my knowledge to other like-minded people. Working with natural cycles, you too can run creative workshops by teaching the importance of growing and eating seasonal food, improving biodiversity and creative craft up-cycling.

Over the duration of the course you will be taught how to set up and run your own Eco club, from creating your business and approaching schools, to the day to day activities which will inspire and educate your members. The course will take you through the entire process step by step, with hands on activities for indoors and outside workshops to suit the weather and time of year.

After the course you will be sent school term time seasonal advice, activities and updates to continue your learning. Skype tutoring will also be available to insure you have all the support needed to set up and run a successful Eco Club.

To get you off to a flying start you will receive:

  • An Eco Club starter pack
  • A full days training on how to set up and run an Eco Club
  • Five seasonal food workshops
  • Three Biodiversity Workshops
  • Four Craft Up-cycling Workshops
  • 12 months of seasonal activity's, updates and workshops.
  • 12 months Skype tuition

Help us keep the Ecologist platform going

Since 2012, the Ecologist has been owned and published by a small UK-based charity called the Resurgence Trust. We work hard to support the kind of independent journalism and comment that we know Ecologist readers enjoy but we need your help to keep going. We do all this on a very small budget with a very small editorial team and so joining the Trust or making a donation will show us you value our work and support the platform which is currently offered as a free service.
